Becoming a mother means facing many unknowns. A secure place to live shouldn’t be one of them.
For countless pregnant women in crisis, finding a safe place to call home has never been more difficult. The Nest Maternity Home provides a secure, supportive starting point for a small number of moms and their newborns.
In this nurturing and supportive atmosphere, women gain confidence as they prepare for the arrival of their baby and a new future as mothers.
Security is more than simply shelter.
The NEST Maternity Home opened its doors in 2023, quickly becoming a safe haven for expectant mothers. We’ve witnessed these women overcome the fear and anxieties of bringing a life into the world with no place to call home. This would not have been possible without community support.
Responding to needs is the first step in restoring hope. Now, with their interim housing in place, these brave women are more free to focus on their child and gain confidence as a parent.
The Nest is more than shelter, it’s a sanctuary filled with encouragement and support. What once seemed impossible, is now possible – a hope-filled future.

Secure & Comfortable
Our undisclosed location is a secure, comfortable home. Each resident has her own private bedroom with room for her baby. There is a shared kitchen and a choice of living areas. Whether the moms want to share each other’s company or have a quiet space to breathe, our home is created to help these brave women feel cherished and loved.
EquiPping
Along with the security of having a home, residents participate in a goal setting program. In-home volunteers are there to help boost mom’s confidence as she develops skills that set her up for parenting and living independently.
Supportive
The sense of community and family develops naturally under this roof. Our clients share their lives with one another and with live-in caregivers. There’s always someone to share a cup of tea, a deep talk, a good laugh or cry, and those precious early parenting moments. Life happens here – and no one is alone in working through the joyful and difficult aspects of parenthood.
